ArcadeStock stocks JAMMA harnesses, arcade PCBs and game boards for classic arcade cabinets. The JAMMA standard (Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association) is the universal wiring interface used by the vast majority of arcade cabinets produced from the 1980s onward — making JAMMA parts the backbone of any arcade restoration or upgrade.
A JAMMA harness is a standardised wiring loom that connects the cabinet power supply, monitor, controls and coin mechanism to any JAMMA-compatible PCB. Swap one PCB for another and your cabinet plays an entirely different game — no rewiring required.
JAMMA stands for Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association. In 1985, the consortium defined a standard 56-pin edge connector and wiring specification that allowed arcade game PCBs to be interchanged between cabinets from different manufacturers. The standard quickly became universal and remains in use today.
Any cabinet fitted with a JAMMA harness can run any JAMMA-compatible PCB. This makes JAMMA hardware the most versatile platform in classic arcade — one cabinet can host hundreds of games.
A standard JAMMA harness connects: power supply (+5 V, +12 V, ground), video output (RGB + sync), audio amplifier, player 1 and player 2 controls (joystick + 3 buttons minimum), coin mechanisms, and the service switch. Extended harnesses add extra buttons for games that require more than the base spec.
Most Japanese and many European arcade cabinets produced after 1985 are JAMMA-compatible out of the box. Classic examples include the Sega Aero City, Taito Egret, SNK MVS, and many generic "candy cab" designs. We stock both JAMMA harnesses and JAMMA-compatible PCBs.
